Female Marathoner in a white cap, wearing her Heart of Gold, Spine of Steel tee takes a break to view the beauty of the river and surrounding hills.

Life throws you curve balls, snake pits, and gladiator-style gauntlets, but you made it through with your heart intact. Seasons of refiners fire forged your spine of steel. Our Tee celebrates your victory. Worn by women of exceptional resilience.

ART ephemera Craft.

Beneath the surface of human creativity lies the essence of the artist.

Behind every brush stroke, every printed word, every thread stitched pattern, or willow twisted branch, layer upon layer, the perfect landscape or portrait, novel, menu, or simple postcard, pointed pillow or sturdy basket takes form.

Vintage

MCM

It all started with a spontaneous trip into a very nondescript vintage store, halfway between the bright lights of the city and the dark side of the moon. Needing to stretch my legs mid-way point on my journey, I pulled off the interstate and rolled to a stop at an eeny-beeny row of small-town shops. Granted, I didn’t get much leg-stretching in, but oooooo, looky what I found- 11 of the sweetest circa 1961 cake/bread plates.

White "Kaysons Fine China, Golden Rhapsody, Japan". Circa 1961. dessert plates. Bread plates.

As MCM continued to evolve into the 1970s, architects, artists, and designers continued to push the envelope of innovative design: Philip Johnson glass houses, Knoll and Steelcase furniture, and Pucci Fashion. Imagine my surprise when I came across this Steelcase conference/dining table peeping out from under the heaps of hoarded housewares stacked atop its sturdy steel pedestal. Heaps removed, dust cleared, and back to the studio for a polish.

Timeless Beauty.
